Terese (Terri) L. Chmielewski, PT, MPT, PhD, SCS

Terese (Terri) L. Chmielewski, PT, MPT, PhD, SCS, is Physical Therapist/Research Investigator at TRIA Orthopedic Center and Associate Professor in the Rehabilitation Science Graduate Program at University of Minnesota. She received a BA in Health Science and MA in Physical Therapy from the College of St. Scholastica and a PhD in Biomechanics and Movement Science from University of Delaware. Dr. Chmielewski has co-authored 4 monographs, 11 book chapters, and over 70 peer-reviewed publications with a specific focus on neuromuscular control and psychological factors in rehabilitation and return to play. Her research funding includes a NIH R21 “Sport Concussion and Neuromuscular Function” and her work has received Excellence in Research Awards from the American Academy of Sports Physical Therapy and a NCAA Research Award from the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine. In addition, she has received Excellence in Education/Teaching awards from the American Academy of Sports Physical Therapy and Academy of Orthopaedic Physical Therapy. Her current role involves directing clinical research, mentoring clinicians, occasional clinical care, and supporting youth athletics through her son and his teams.
Shuhei Suzuki PT, DPT, ATC, OCS, FAAOMPT

Shuhei Suzuki PT, DPT, ATC, OCS, FAAOMPT is a physical therapist at TRIA Orthopedics in Bloomington, MN. He received doctor of physical therapy degree from University of Pittsburgh, and bachelor of science degree in kinesiology with athletic training emphasis from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He is a certified athletic trainer (ATC), and holds a board certified orthopedic specialists (OCS) certification, and a fellow in American academy of orthopedic manual physical therapy (FAAOMPT) designation.
He has played an integral role in establishing a multi-disciplinary TRIA Sports Concussion Program from the inception in 2012. He has a special interest in sport-related concussion management including cervico-vestibular rehabilitation and exertion therapy. He has published multiple peer-reviewed articles in this area and presented as a guest lecturer and a speaker. He also has a specialist interest in sports medicine, and serves full-time as a senior physiotherapist for the ATP Tour, the men’s professional tennis tour. He travels to all major tennis events including Olympics and grand slam events and manages the health of top tennis players from around the world. He has also worked with the Minnesota Timberwolves (NBA) as a contracted athletic trainer / physical therapist for 2021-2022 season.
Jason Hugentobler PT, DPT, SCS, CSCS

Jason Hugentobler is a sports certified specialist physical therapist on the ortho/sports team at
Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center (CCHMC). He received his Master’s Degree of Physical Therapy from The College of Mount Saint Joseph, his clinical Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Tennessee, and a Doctorate of Health Sciences from the University of Indianapolis. Jason currently serves as the Sports Physical Therapy residency director for CCHMC and completed the sports residency program at CCHMC from 2010-2011. Jason has served on Evidence-Based Practice Teams, served as the prior Chair of the Concussion Special Interest Group within the American Academy of Sports Physical Therapy, and has lectured regionally and nationally on a multitude of topics including
concussion. Jason also serves as an adjunct professor at Mount Saint Joseph University and University of Cincinnati teaching the concussion special topics class and musculoskeletal courses. In his free time, he loves spending time with his wife and two children and their sporting endeavors.
