Alexis Johnson, PhD

Alexis is a four-time CrossFit games athlete (3x Individual qualifier). She has been doing CrossFit since 2011 and training competitively in the sport since 2014. Throughout her CrossFit career, she has suffered several injuries, including ongoing patellar tendonosis, developed while overtraining in 2016 and 2017, an Achilles rupture and repair in 2020, and a UCL rupture and augmented Tommy John repair in 2021.

Alexis has a Ph.D. in math, worked as a professor for 2 years, and is now a senior machine-learning engineer, working in AI.
