Upon completion of this home study course, participants will:
- Identify the optimal imaging modality for the evaluation of selected musculoskeletal pathology in athletes.
- Understand which standard (plain) radiograph view is appropriate for various musculoskeletal pathology.
- Understand the limitations of musculoskeletal imaging as related to athletic injuries and pathology.
- Demonstrate an understanding of clinical decision rules to guide the selection of musculoskeletal imaging.
- Demonstrate an understanding of evidence-based guidelines for the selection and recommendation of imaging for musculoskeletal injuries in athletes.
