In this presentation, we will outline the concept of regional interdependence and its role in how to effectively treat athletes. This is a concept that is often discussed as a necessity in physical therapy, yet many therapists continue to treat directly at the source of pain with little acknowledgment of contributing factors throughout the entire kinetic chain. We will outline various examples that highlight the importance of regional interdependence, especially as it relates to rotational athletes.
