Description
This presentation will look at performance nutrition through the window of the return to play process post ACLR. Covering everything from energy balance and macro assessment to supplementation the viewer should get a clear picture of some of the concerns and interventions utilized in high-performance nutrition.

Andrea completed her undergraduate degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Idaho followed by her Master’s in Sports Nutrition from the University of Colorado – Colorado Springs where she worked with Athletes at the University of Colorado and The United States Olympic Training Center. Upon completion of her Master’s Degree, Andrea was selected for the Gatorade Sports Nutrition Immersion Intern (GSNI) program, which places the selected dietitians at top sports nutrition facilities within the United States. The GSNI program brought Andrea to the University of Southern California. Upon competition of the GSNI program, Andrea was hired to serve as the Sports Dietitian for the University of Southern California football team for the past 3 seasons, prior to joining the Seahawks. Andrea is a Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) and board-Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD) through the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND). Additionally, Andrea has spent time conducting scientific research and believes in a personalized nutrition approach for athletes to help meet their physical requirements.
