Description Contributors Aaron Hellem, D.P.T., OCS, SCS, CSCS Aaron is currently an Assistant Professor at the University of Minnesota teaching in Anatomy, Clinical Biomechanics, and Therapeutic Exercise. He is also a PhD candidate in Rehabilitation Science studying mechanisms of tissue deformation during the volleyball spike under Dr. Paula Ludewig. He completed his DPT and orthopaedic residency at Mayo Clinic and is dual board certified in orthopaedic and sports physical therapy practicing part-time at Mayo Clinic Orthopedics and Sports Medicine in Minneapolis, MN. He serves as faculty within the physical therapy sports and orthopaedic residencies at Mayo Clinic. Research interests include evidence-based practice, biomechanics, and data-informed clinical decision making. Aaron currently resides in Minneapolis, MN with his wife Lisa and daughter Charlie. Outside of work, he enjoys seeing live music, cooking, strength training, reading/watching Sci-Fi and fantasy, and hanging with his family.
