Dr. Sylvia Czuppon received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2000, Master of Science in Physical Therapy in 2002, and her clinical Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2011, all from Washington University. She received her Certification as an Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties in 2010. Her work has been published in British Journal of Sports Medicine, PM&R, Physical Therapy, and Journal of Orthopaedic & Sports Physical Therapy. Dr. Czuppon is currently an Associate Professor of Physical Therapy and Orthopaedic Surgery at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. She divides time between outpatient clinical practice treating musculoskeletal pain patients and teaching orthopaedic content in the professional DPT curriculum at Washington University. She has given local, state, national, and international presentations on lower extremity injury rehabilitation and return to sport. She volunteers her time educating coaches, parents, athletes, and the community about youth injury prevention strategies.

  • Scot Morrison, PT, DPT, OCS, CSCS

    Scot is a board-certified physical therapist who specializes in high performance & sports medicine in sports and tactical populations. Scot currently works as a contractiwithin the US Air Force Special Operations Command and as sports med/performance consultant through his company PhysioPraxis. He serves as the chair of the AASPT Sports Performance enhancement SIG and is pursuing a PhD under Franco Impellizzeri. His clinical focus includes the management of overuse injuries and the integration of sound exercise prescription into rehabilitation and the return to performance processes.

  • Performance Enhancement SIG

    SPE SIG deepens the knowledge and practical application of members who have an interest in performance enhancement of the recovering athlete. The SIG will act as a facilitator for its members who have a common interest in rehabilitation, strength and conditioning, and performance enhancement. The SIG will also facilitate collaboration between researchers, clinicians, and the strength and conditioning communities to perform research using commonly applied principles in strength and conditioning of athletes to athletic rehabilitation.
